In accordance ​with ​AAK’s ​employment policy, ​all regular positions begin ​with ​a one-year ​contract. Conversion to ​permanent employment ​will ​be reviewed ​upon ​completion ​of 1st year ​employment.


Overview

Aramco ​Asia Korea is ​seeking ​a ​Lead HSE Advisor ​to be ​responsible ​for the ​safety in ​the ​laboratory, safety training ​for new ​employees to support the research work in a healthy, safe, and environmental friendly manner.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the research center facilities on HSE issues and budget as chief safety officer.
  • Ensure proper process safety analysis and the development of HSE control plans.
  • Conduct safety orientation for all employees in the facility.
  • Ensure safety training is provided for lab staffs on HSE issues i.e. first aid, chemical hazards, etc.
  • Develop and maintain safety standards and procedures for the safe handling, usage and transportation of chemical products.
  • Develop best-practice emergency response and incident management strategies.
  • Lead investigations into safety incidents within the facilities and develop corrective action plans.
  • Monitor HSE reporting and auditing activities for clients and suppliers.
  • Monitor laboratory waste treatment.
  • Perform other miscellaneous dutiess.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree or above, with tertiary qualification in HSE management or Chemical Engineering
  • Must have a certificate related to Industrial Safety Engineer (산업안전기사) and Hazardous Materials Engineer (위험물산업기사) over above.


Technical Skills

  • The incumbent is responsible for the safety in the laboratory, safety training for new employees to support the research work in a healthy, safe, and environmental friendly manner
  • Strong decision making, business development, and team management skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in solving technical issues and troubleshooting as well as the ability to work autonomously


Experience

  • Minimum 9 years of experience in chemical laboratory or chemical manufacturing, including managing a site HSE system to International quality standards, team management experience preferred.


Personality

  • Motivated, independent, and hard-working with technical background.
  • Proficient in English (Oral & written)
  • Ability to work in diverse and cross-functional teams, with flexibility to work in different locations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
